This project was an exercise in brand strategy and planning for a public tabletop games night at a local venue after the end of quarantine. This included location scouting, identity development and mockups for potential merchandise and signage.
Following the pandemic, many tabletop gamers were left without
groups. Now that the pandemic is over, many people are looking for
groups of similarly-interested people they can get along with. To that
end, LFG. The classic acronym in the hobby world, meaning “Looking
for game” or “Looking for group” is reused here to mean “liquor, food &
games”. By offering a casual get together in the vein of a singles mixer,
we hope to get people back into groups and doing what they love.
Both a celebration of tabletop games and a venue for them, combined
with snacks and alcohol (like any good game night), this event
functions as a giant “welcome back” to the Portland tabletop crowd.
