This was an exercise in editorial illustration done during the height of the coronavirus pandemic. Included are several mockups.
The subject of the article was China's system of information control and censorship as it related to the beginning of the Coronavirus outbreak. Posts on social media and file sharing websites regarding the virus would be taken down, but the sheer volume of content being generated let a few posts slip through the virtual dragnet. There were several unconfirmed rumors of individuals being arrested for sharing this information, which inspired me to include the foreboding messages on the errors.
